A to Z Challenge 8: Halloween

Is it Halloween?  No, far from it.  But when I was in Scottsdale, AZ (the first time) I had this brainstorm that since it was October, why not write a special version of my Transformed series for Halloween?  I had seen a book or two about costumes that change a guy into a girl and thus decided I would use that for my basis.

But why just have one when you can have 5?  I mean the more the merrier, right?  And why not base them on themes I'd used already?  So there's a little girl, a schoolgirl, a whore, a Goth girl, and a cheerleader though I didn't have a cheerleader-themed book.  So sue me.

The basic idea is these five guys are at a Halloween party with their wives. The wives are dressed in the themes above and at midnight they reveal that they've employed a witch who will put a spell on the guys to turn them into their wives' costumes for all of Halloween.  That's some extreme marriage therapy!

Then of course mayhem ensues.  The core concept comes from a Twilight Zone episode where this old guy who's dying has his family put on these masks that reveal their gross inner personality.  When they take the masks off their faces are still that way.  Take that!

Another fun fact is that the font on the cover is from the movie "Halloween."  What a coincidence, right?

It's surprising that even though it's long past Halloween this still sells a copy or two a month and gets a few borrows.  Who says Halloween can't be any time of the year, right?

Buy it from Amazon for $2.99...if you dare!

I always seem to notice the holiday stuff selling regardless of the time of year. Halloween is perfect for this kind of story. So you already have a cheerleader...there goes my idea.

Halloween can ABSOLUTELY be year round in my opinion. I've always wanted to have a halfway to Halloween party on April 31st.

Good luck with the 2015 A to Z Challenge!
